Novartis, one of the biggest and most respected international pharmaceutical companies, opened a Representative office in Albania in 1996. Novartis Oncology is a part of this office. Novartis Oncology Albania is focused on therapy of oncological and hematological diseases and has already been cooperating very successfully with oncologists, hematologists, urologists, gastroenterologists and other related specialities for 11 years. Novartis Oncology Albania focuses on the following diseases: thalassaemiae, sickle cell disease and myelodysplasia, chronic myeloid leukemia, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, hormone responsive breast cancer, bone metastasis in solid tumors and multiple myeloma, GEP/NET tumors and acromegaly.
Novartis Oncology products registered in the Albanian market are: EXJADE, GLIVEC, FEMARA, ZOMETA, SANDOSTATIN, SANDOSTATIN LAR and DESFERAL.
