Novartis Oncology Supports Coaches Helping to Fight Cancer
Dec 03, 2015
Supporting the communities of the patients we serve is a top priority for Novartis Oncology. One example of this is our annual sponsorship of a unique organization called Coaches vs. Cancer – a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society (ACS) and the National Association of Basketball Coaches, which empowers sports coaches, their teams, and communities to join the fight against cancer by participating in awareness efforts, advocacy programs, and fundraising activities.
Novartis Oncology has been supporting Coaches vs. Cancer for several years, which links our employees to community-oriented events while enabling the program to raise funds for ACS research and outreach initiatives.
We are excited to be participating in the MGM Grand Showcase Tip-Off Reception in Las Vegas on December 3rd and the UNLV Rebels vs. Oregon Ducks basketball game on December 4th. We look forward to a successful auction at the Reception, along with a live Q&A with team coaches Dave Rice (UNLV) and Dana Altman (Oregon).
To date, participating coaches have raised more than $100 million for ACS over the 20+ years the program has been in place. We look forward to continuing to add to this through our participation in this important program. If interested, visit the official Coaches vs. Cancer website and see all the ways you can show your support!
